WOO
WOO employs marginalized women from disadvantaged backgrounds to collect discarded vodka, wine and beer bottles from the streets of Ho Chi Minh City to use as the base of their candles and diffusers. Not only are the bottles rescued from landfills, the women earn enough money to raise their children themselves (instead of sending them to remote villages to be cared for by distant relatives).
Handcrafted by people from vulnerable communities including beekeepers, glass artisans, sand blasters and wax specialists, WOO combines sustainably-sourced beeswax and oils for their phenomenal scents with lead-free German wicks.
