Hathorway designer Jessica Phan, whose family originates from Vietnam, regularly travels to the country of her ancestors to gather ethically-sourced Vietnamese buffalo horn discarded from deadstock or the food industry to use in her minimalist jewellery designs. No part of the buffalo is wasted – in fact, any excess horn shavings are used as soil fertilizer for the rice fields in Vietnam, providing rice crops to feed people and other buffaloes in Vietnam. Â
As featured in Vogue and Vanity Fair, Hathorway donates a portion of their profits to organizations and initiatives that empowers women and children.Â
