more about
Bat Trang
Ask a local and they’ll tell you that the ancient ceramic village of Bat Trang dates back to the 10th century. Perched on the banks of the Red River, villagers originally set up shop in the clay-rich location to create bricks and ceramics for the royal family.
We work with a female-owned workshop that maintains her forefathers’ devotion to handmade quality. She takes pride in keeping the craft alive and in her ability to offer meaningful employment to the people of Bat Trang and help generate better income opportunities for the families in the village.
Our selection celebrates the traditional craftsmanship and charm of Bat Trang ceramics but with a contemporary twist.
