about the artist
Artist Victoria Spence Naik moved to Vietnam from Canada this past fall and since then she has been exploring every nook and cranny of Hanoi on two wheels with her camera, pencil and sketchbook in hand.
Her illustrations begin with delicate pencil sketches of a quotidian street scene in Hanoi. Each sketch is then transformed by bold pen strokes to capture unique moments of light and shadow.
